This week marks the beginning of Christian Aid week. Throughout the world Christian Aid are continuing to respond to the needs of many in places such as Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. As with everyone else they are adapting their fundraising efforts by having on-line events including a daily quiz and live streaming worship events.
Christian Aid will also be offering an ‘e-envelope’, to help people share the Christian Aid Week story with family and friends, and ask for a donation. Fuller details are available on their website.
We continue to mark the milestones in the lives of our church family members and wish to say many happy returns to Marie Nicolson who celebrated her birthday on Tuesday, 5th May; and to May Anderson who celebrates her 79th birthday today, Sunday, 10th May. Many congratulations to each of you!
We continue to pray daily for our church family, their families and those in the community for continued health and strength to deal with the challenges of life in lockdown.
If you are feeling low or struggling in any way please do not hesitate to contact either Douglas, Kirsteen or Naomi simply to talk or for prayer. All calls/texts/emails will be treated in complete confidence. Please do not struggle alone.

Children
Sunday School CLUB
We have a Sunday School Club which runs every Sunday during the church service. All children are welcome to come along - 11am. Right now we are using drama as a means of exploring Bible stories and the children are thoroughly enjoying it.
Our Sunday School Club learn about the Bible, God, and the Christian Faith during their time together. Often the children will do activities to reiterate the message for the day.
We encourage you to talk to your child about what they have talked about in Sunday School Club so that you can share in the development of their faith.
Over the summer months (June-August) we run a Summer Sunday School Club. During this period the time with the children is largely spent doing fun games and activities.

Messy church
We started running Messy Church in November 2016, and have been encouraged by a positive response from the community.
Messy Church is not just for children - it's for the whole family to enjoy. It's also not just for those who come to church - it's for the whole community!
When we meet together we enjoy a time of games, art and craft, discussion, a short talk, and then some social time over a meal together. It is always lots of fun for everyone who comes, and a great opportunity to do something together as a family.
We currently meet together four-five times per year, with our upcoming Messy Church dates as:
-
April 19th 2-4pm - Easter
Check out our calendar where you can save these events directly into your personal calendar on your device with one simple click!
FAMILY DAY OUT
Once per year over summer we host a Family Day Out. In the past we have been to places such as Troon and Millport, and we always endeavour to find a great location each time we head out.
Family Day's Out are for people within the whole parish area to come to, and we hire a bus to take those coming from the Church to the location for the day. There is usually a small cost for coming to help cover costs, however if this is a concern for you please get in touch and we'll have a chat to see if we can support you to come along!
On our days out we have lots of fun exploring new areas, playing games, having a picnic lunch together and getting to know each other better. It's always a great outing for the families who come, and a fantastic opportunity to socialise.
We always like a good turnout on the day so let us know if you want to be kept in touch about our next outing, and follow us on Facebook where we will let you know about this (and other) events as they draw closer.
