Children

Sunday School CLUB

We have a Sunday School Club which runs every Sunday during the church service. All children are welcome to come along - 11am.  Right now we are using drama as a means of exploring Bible stories and the children are thoroughly enjoying it.

Our Sunday School Club learn about the Bible, God, and the Christian Faith during their time together. Often the children will do activities to reiterate the message for the day.

We encourage you to talk to your child about what they have talked about in Sunday School Club so that you can share in the development of their faith.

Over the summer months (June-August) we run a Summer Sunday School Club. During this period the time with the children is largely spent doing fun games and activities.

HOT CHOCOLATE CLUB
HOT CHOCOLATE CLUB

July 2018 saw the commencement of our Hot Chocolate Club as a Holiday Club featuring the theme of "You are Treasured".

Sessions run from 10am-1pm, and are designed for children aged 5-12. Younger children are welcome to attend with siblings but will require parental supervision.

We kindly ask that you contribute £2 per family per session to assist us in covering our running costs, but if you are unable you are still more than welcome.

Parents are required to sign in their children and remain for the session, but we will have a space for parents to connect, have tea and coffee, and adult discussion topics and activities as well.

CONNECT AND PLAY - PARENT and toddler group

Due to commence in September 2018.

This group is for parents and carers of children under 5.

We will meet regularly on Fridays, time to be confirmed.

What will we do??
- Coffee, cake and connect - a place for parents and carers of young children to come together.

- Sensory play sessions.

- Take home ideas for play-time.

Messy church

We started running Messy Church in November 2016, and have been encouraged by a positive response from the community.

Messy Church is not just for children - it's for the whole family to enjoy. It's also not just for those who come to church - it's for the whole community!

When we meet together we enjoy a time of games, art and craft, discussion, a short talk, and then some social time over a meal together. It is always lots of fun for everyone who comes, and a great opportunity to do something together as a family.

We currently meet together four-five times per year, with our upcoming Messy Church dates as:

  • September 16

  • November

Check out our calendar where you can save these events directly into your personal calendar on your device with one simple click!

FAMILY DAY OUT

Once per year over summer we host a Family Day Out. In the past we have been to places such as Troon and Millport, and we always endeavour to find a great location each time we head out.

Family Day's Out are for people within the whole parish area to come to, and we hire a bus to take those coming from the Church to the location for the day. There is usually a small cost for coming to help cover costs, however if this is a concern for you please get in touch and we'll have a chat to see if we can support you to come along!

On our days out we have lots of fun exploring new areas, playing games, having a picnic lunch together and getting to know each other better. It's always a great outing for the families who come, and a fantastic opportunity to socialise.

We always like a good turnout on the day so let us know if you want to be kept in touch about our next outing, and follow us on Facebook where we will let you know about this (and other) events as they draw closer.
