sunday, 20th September 2020
Today we return to worshipping in the sanctuary at Priesthill Road at 11.00am, following 26 weeks of Sunday Service Lockdown.
We will record the service today and then post it on this website within 24 hours.
The audio in the recording of today's service is very quiet.
We will investigate the possibility of enhancing the audio and get back to you in the next couple of days.
Week beginning: Sunday 20th September 2020
The day has finally arrived! Worship in the sanctuary at Priesthill Road!
It was a long and winding road but with a lot of help and support we got there! We pray that there will be nothing to stand in the way of us meeting together in person every Sunday from now on.
Hopefully, for those who attended, the new routine was easy to follow. (Thank you to Naomi for the step by step guide on our Facebook page).
For those who chose to stay at home we pray that the recording of the service will bless you. (Thank you to Kirsteen and Douglas for providing the technology and sharing the service.)
Although we have not been using the church building for a long time, we still have many financial obligations to meet and, if you are not able to be at church in person but would like your weekly tithe or offering to be handed in please contact either Douglas Nicol or Jess Mitchell and arrangements can be made.
You may have been following Douglas’s series of sermons online and be aware of his growing sense that we are being called to a time of repentance and we are going to see revival. As mentioned in last week’s newsletter he is hosting a Zoom prayer meeting for ten days (it started yesterday, on Saturday 19th September). We heard about a prophecy that pointed to this being a new era and how very recent news events are pointing to this becoming a reality.
Each night will be a stand-alone event. In other words you are welcome to join us for all the meetings or only one or two as your schedule allows. We know that for many the novelty of a zoom meeting wore off a long time ago, however we would strongly encourage you to join with us as we consider what God wants for us as individuals and as a nation.
Please do consider joining us. There will be no pressure to speak out or pray out loud but there is power when God’s people gather and His promise to be in the midst of where two or three are gathered in His name stands whether we meet physically or virtually. Please feel free to invite others from outwith our congregation to join us.
For security reasons we will not publish the link here. Please contact either Douglas Nicol (details below) or Katherine Nicol on 07877302189 or Kmnicol19@gmail.com.
If you have no experience of zoom but would like to be part of this gathering please contact Katherine who will happily discuss with you all that you need to know ahead of time.
Again, we take the time to mark the times of celebration in the lives of our church family members.
Many happy returns to Irene McKean who celebrated her birthday on Monday, 14th September; and to Aden Shannon who celebrated his 11th birthday on Wednesday, 16th September.
As ever, if you have any worries or concerns, prayer requests or indeed good news to pass on, please do not hesitate to contact one of the ministry team...details below.
