This week marks the beginning of Christian Aid week. Throughout the world Christian Aid are continuing to respond to the needs of many in places such as Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. As with everyone else they are adapting their fundraising efforts by having on-line events including a daily quiz and live streaming worship events.
Christian Aid will also be offering an ‘e-envelope’, to help people share the Christian Aid Week story with family and friends, and ask for a donation. Fuller details are available on their website.
We continue to mark the milestones in the lives of our church family members and wish to say many happy returns to Marie Nicolson who celebrated her birthday on Tuesday, 5th May; and to May Anderson who celebrates her 79th birthday today, Sunday, 10th May. Many congratulations to each of you!
We continue to pray daily for our church family, their families and those in the community for continued health and strength to deal with the challenges of life in lockdown.
If you are feeling low or struggling in any way please do not hesitate to contact either Douglas, Kirsteen or Naomi simply to talk or for prayer. All calls/texts/emails will be treated in complete confidence. Please do not struggle alone.

Online Worship Services
Welcome to our Online Worship Services. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak leading to us to be unable to gather in person for church as we usually would we have dedicated this space to bring the weekly service into your homes.
Please come here each Sunday to see the next service as it is uploaded, and services will remain available following this time so feel free to 'catch up' or re-watch a service through the week as desired.

NEWSLETTER
Dear friends,
It is with a very heavy heart that we have to inform you of the death of Mr Stuart Bruce.
Many of you will remember that Stuart provided pulpit cover on two occasions last year when Douglas was on study leave and was joined in the congregation by his dear wife Ann.
Stuart suddenly became very ill on Tuesday and died in Hairmyers hospital on Friday. We take comfort in the sure knowledge that Stuart is with his Heavenly Father but
please remember Ann, their sons and grandchildren and wider family and friends at this desperately difficult time, that they will know God’s peace and comfort.
Healing Service
We will all have a chance to meet together again on Zoom tomorrow, Monday 7th September at 7.45pm for the Monthly Healing Service. The theme of the service is entitled: “The Return.” Everyone is most welcome and encouraged to attend whether or not you have been to a previous Healing Service, whether or not you have a need for healing.
There will be a time of worship, teaching and a chance to pray for others. It is very informal and a good opportunity for us to “touch base” before the church opens again on Sunday 20th September at 11am.
If you would like a link to the Zoom service please contact Katherine Nicol via email KMNicol19@gmail.com or by texting 07877302189 by 6 pm on Monday.
Plans for Sunday morning worship
Preparations are in full swing for our return to worship with the installation of sanitiser points and a draft cleaning schedule has been drawn up – in terms of what needs done and when, but for this to work we desperately need more volunteers. The more workers, the less often you need take a turn. Please consider whether you are able to give some time to this to enable us all to keep safe.
You should receive an email or letter this week from Douglas outlining the plans for Sunday 20th September. We must emphasis there is no pressure to attend in light of all the restrictions – everyone must prayerfully make that decision for themselves. Again we pray for a halt in the cases of COVID 19 and look forward to the day that we can all meet completely freely to worship God in the Sanctuary.
As ever, if you have any worries or concerns, prayer requests or indeed good news to pass on, please do not hesitate to contact one of the ministry team...details below.
