Sunday service

31st jan 2021

Join us online as our Parish Assistant, Kirsteen helps us explore how we can reclaim the phrase 'For God's Sake', in a way that glorifies God. Kirsteen has chosen the beautiful worship song 'Onward Christian Soldiers', which can be found below. God Bless you all.

Week beginning: Sunday 31st January 2021

Dear friends,

As we are excitedly aware of the days being lighter for longer and signs of spring starting to show themselves, we are still acutely aware of how suddenly the temperature can plummet and what that must mean for the homeless in our city and beyond.

We are saddened to hear that staff in Lodging House Mission have contracted Coronavirus and so the building has had to close for at least ten days.  Please pray for the staff who are ill and for the other’s who have responsibility for making the building clean and safe again but, most of all, we pray for those who find themselves in desperate need of shelter and food.

We pray for all the agencies and charities whose staff and volunteers risk their own health to see to the needs of others.

As you are aware we are back to providing online services and our thanks go to Douglas and Kirsteen who, for the next few weeks, will be exploring ways to bring praise, scripture, teaching and prayer to you.  We all desperately miss the act of corporate worship and for those of us at home it has been a delight to have the Sunday service available to view.  Please do subscribe to the Youtube channel...there is no cost involved, it will simply allow you to know when each new service is available.

This week the title of Kirsteen’s talk is “For God’s Sake”

Our monthly healing service will take place tomorrow on Monday, 1st February 2021, at 7.45pm via Zoom.  This month’s service is titled “The Preaching Braes.”

If you wish to attend, please contact Katherine Nicol at and she will send you a link.

Everyone is most welcome to attend whether you have joined us before or not, whether you have a healing need or not, please know we would love to see you for an informal time of worship and teaching.

It has been often said that during lockdown we are all in the same boat....however we understand that yes, that while we are all in the same storm,  some are in a luxury cruiser and some are clinging to driftwood.  If you feel that you are barely clinging on, please know that you need not feel alone and that the ministry team are available anytime, simply for a chat or to pray with you. This is always in confidence. Please do not struggle alone.

You may have a specific prayer need or infact you may want to share good news. Please do not hesitate to contact them via phone, text or email. (details below)
