sunday, 1st NOVEMBER 2020
Today, following our return six Sunday ago, we continue to worship in the sanctuary at Priesthill Road at 11.00am.
Week beginning: Sunday 1st November 2020
We sincerely hope that you are well and managing to navigate your way through all of the latest lockdown regulations. The clear message coming through is that our Christmas celebrations, both as a congregation and as individuals are going to be very different this year. We are currently making plans and looking for ways to stay connected through the advent season and we will be keeping you updated as these plans unfold.
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY SERVICE
Next week is our Remembrance Sunday Service, which means we will begin worship at Priesthill Road at 10.45 am.
Douglas Nicol had ordered a wreath and one of our Elders, Pamela Caskie, was going to represent the Church and attend with many other organisations at the War Memorial on Nitshill Road. Unfortunately a directive has come down stating that we cannot participate in this kind of activity so the wreath will simple be displayed in the Church on Sunday morning and after the service Douglas will make his way to the memorial and lay it then.
Our monthly healing service will take place on Monday, 2nd November 2020, at 7.45pm via Zoom. This month’s service is entitled “Community Transformation – When God comes to town.”
If you wish to attend, please contact Katherine Nicol at KMnicol19@gmail.com and she will send you a link.
Everyone is most welcome to attend whether you have joined us before or not, whether you have a healing need or not, please know we would love to see you for an informal time of worship and teaching.
The ministry team are available to talk and/or pray with anyone from the congregation or Parish who is struggling with any of the issues that surround us at the moment. Please know that all these calls are dealt with in the strictest confidence and whether you have been a Christian for a long time, a short time, or never made that commitment, please remember that we have a loving Heavenly Father who urges us to cast our cares to Him. The promises of the Bible are as true for today as they were when they were written and Jesus died and rose again that we may know life in all its fullness. There was never a promise that the journey would be easy but we have the gift of one another so please do not hesitate to call any of the numbers below.
CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS!!
Although there is so much difficulty and anxiety at this time we want to take the time to mark the times of celebration in the lives of our church family members.
Congratulations to Cameron Buchanan who celebrated his 59th birthday on Monday, 26th October; to Helen Wallace who celebrated her birthday on Tuesday, 27th October; and to Diane MacDonald who celebrated her birthday on Saturday, 31st October. Many Happy Returns to you all!
